It is nearly impossible to explain the circumstance that led to my living in Paris, or the path my life took after after arriving. Rest assured that I had planned none of it. It was pure luck and the desire to say yes to everything. These photographs offer hints but inevitably fall far short of describing the magic of a decade-long party.
